NEW Implant technology now available:

Flapless surgery

Quick, minimally invasive treatment, saves you time, discomfort , and, in most situations you walk away from the initial surgical treatment with a temporary fixed tooth!  This technique is particularly suitable for single tooth replacement, where the tooth socket bone is intact

“Teeth in an Hour”

Using computer generated ‘virtual surgery’ to plan your treatment, your new teeth can be made to be fitted at the time that your implants are inserted.

This technique is particularly useful for people who wear a complete upper denture and want to have fixed upper teeth, but can also be used for replacing smaller numbers of missing teeth.

Following an initial assessment, a special denture-like template has to be made by the dentist and dental technician, and this is worn by the patient during a CT scan of the jaws.  The special computer software is then able to create a three dimensional image of the jaw bone, and the dentist can carry out the ‘virtual surgery’ required to produce the planned result.  The final plan is sent over the internet to Sweden, where a specialised surgical guide is computer-manufactured, to allow precise replication of the virtual surgery in the real-life situation.

The software and template together also then allow the dental technician to make the replacement teeth, ready to fit at the time of surgery.

The technique is called “Teeth in an Hour”, because unlike ‘conventional’ implant treatment, where the clinical and laboratory work to make new teeth has to be carried out after the implant surgery has been carried out, in this technique, the work is all done beforehand, making the actual surgery-to-fixed teeth time very quick indeed!
